George "Toad" White Jr., 68, of Slater, died Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Slater, with Willie Harlow and Rev. David Duncan officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2012, at First Baptist Church. Memorials are suggested to the Community Cancer Center in Marshall.
Born Jan. 11, 1944, in Slater, he was the son of the late George and Anna Lucille Tennill White. On Aug. 16, 1963, in Slater, he married Fay Land, who preceded him in death on June 5, 1984. On May 4, 1993, in Las Vegas, Nev., he married Patricia De Gideo, who survives of the home. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Slater and worked as a machinist for many years at ConAgra Frozen Foods in Marshall.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a stepson, Jeff Valenzuela of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a brother, Bobby Joe White of Fulton.
