Roberta F. Coleman, 87 of Higginsville, died on Monday, June 25, 2012, at Lafayette Regional Health Center in Lexington.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Higginsville, with the Dr. Greg Fine officiating and Sharon Pragman as organist. Interment will be in Higginsville City Cemetery. The family received friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Hoefer Funeral Home in Higginsville. Memorial contributions may be sent to First Baptist Church Higginsville, 1907 Peach St., Higginsville, MO 64037. Born Thursday, April 30, 1925 in Creighton, she was the daughter of Luther Ford and Mary Gregg Ford. On July 3, 1970, she married Roland S. Coleman Jr., who preceded her in death on July 10, 1986. She was a former resident of Marshall moving to Higginsville in 1970.

She was a member of First Baptist Church. She worked as a cook at Lafayette County C-1 School District until she retired in 1995.

She is survived by two daughters, Pam Neubauer of Higginsville and Delberta Hutchison of Boonville; one brother, Harold Ford of Marshall; two sisters, Lola Mae Adcock of Marshall and Margaret Sanders of Moberly; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, James V. Evans; two brothers; and three sisters.
