Mary Frances Peel, 86, of Slater, died Monday, June 25, 2012, at her daughter's home in Blue Springs.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Slater with Rev. Robert Sisney officiating. Burial will be in the Slater City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of the services at the church. Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church in care of Weiker Funeral Home.
Born Aug. 22, 1925, in Thompson, she was the daughter of the late Reuben R. and Mary Gibler Harvey. On July 2, 1946, in Kansas City, Kan., she married Teddy L. Peel, who preceded her in death on June 3, 2007. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Slater and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Locomotive, Fireman and Engineers.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Edna Servi of Blue Springs and Jeannie Colvin of Lexington; two grandsons; four great-grandchildren; a brother, William L. (Bud) Harvey of Urbana; and two sisters, Helen Marie Vitt of Kansas City and Lois June Thriftof Clever.
