Thomas Gregory "Honky" Houston, 56, of Concordia, formerly of Higginsville, died Monday, June 18, 2012, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2012, at Salem United Church of Christ with Rev. Michael Christensen officiating. Casket bearers will be Kendall Rinne, Rocky Coen, Danny Thoman, Billy Shier, Jerry Shier and Doug Morgan. Honorary casket bearers will be Zac Wehmeyer, Bill Deland, Greg Houg and Mark Nuelle. Burial will be in Blackburn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2012, at the church. Born Aug. 3, 1955, in Lexington, he was the son of Thomas Joseph and the late Betty Jo Ann Franke Houston. He lived most of his life in Higginsville. He drove trucks over the road, hauling automobiles for Allied Systems the past 12 years. In addition to his father, he is survived by one son, Matthew Houston of Noble, Okla.; two daughters, Cassidy and Carys Brockman, both of the home; two sisters, Beth Houston of Indianapolis, Ind., and Chris Deland of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; and a niece and nephew.
