Kentucky motorcycle riders hurt in Saline County crash

Two men from Shepherdsville, Ky., were injured Sunday in an accident on U.S. Highway 65 in Saline County, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Richard L. Jackson, 62, suffered moderate injuries and was taken by Saline County Ambulance to Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia for treatment.

Dennis W. Aubrey, 60, suffered minor injuries and declined treatment at the scene, troopers said.

The accident happened as Jackson, driving a 2006 Yamaha, and Aubrey, driving a Harley-Davidson, were traveling southbound near 116th Road about 2:50 p.m.

They were slowing and pulling to the shoulder when they collided, according to the report.

Both riders were wearing safety devices, troopers said.
