Robert David Cartee, 52, of Monett, formerly of Marshall, died Saturday, June 2, 2012, in rural Pulaski County.
Funeral services will be held at noon, Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of the service Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to River Rats Floating Society. Born Oct. 28, 1959, in Waverly, he was the son of the late Robert Farrell Cartee and Bernice Agnes Melies Cartee. He was a 1978 graduate of Marshall High School and following graduation, he moved to southwest Missouri where he spent the remainder of his life. He managed numerous lumber yards throughout the years. Robert was an avid fisherman, hunter and a proud member of the River Rats Floating Society. He was a longtime supporter of the Kansas City Royals, Kansas City Chiefs and Missouri Tigers.
Survivors include a sister, Debbie Coleman of Marshall; three nephews, Jason Coleman and his wife, Jackie, Dusty Coleman and his wife, Brenda, and Aaron Coleman; one great-nephew, Brock Coleman; one great-niece, Kinsley Coleman; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and a host of friends.
