KIRKSVILLE -- Sophomore Kallie Holte scored twice for Kirksville during Monday's 2-1 NCMC win over the visiting Marshall girls' soccer team.
Holte converted a penalty kick in the 30th minute of the match to put the Lady Tigers on the board. Nine minutes into the second half, Holte cashed in on a feed from freshman Sarah Hooper.
The Lady Owls scored with 14 minutes remaining, senior Allea Summers setting up junior Jenny Najera's third goal of the season, but were unable to catch up.
Kirksville (7-12-2, 3-8 NCMC) held a 12-2 edge in shots on goal, MHS getting 10 saves from junior Ellen Woolsey. Summers had the only other attempt on the net for Marshall.
The Lady Owls (1-15, 0-10) are at home today for a non-conference match against the School of the Osage.
