Brett Alan (Buster) Wilson, 48, of Marshall, passed away Friday, April 20, 2012, at his home.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012, with services to follow at 2 p.m. at Bittiker Funeral Home with Reverend Willie Harlow officiating. Burial will be in Malta Bend Cemetery in Malta Bend. The family suggests contributions be made to Family Choice in memory of Brett (Buster) Wilson. Born Aug. 20, 1963, in Marshall, he was the son of Kenneth James and Carol Ann (Wright) Wilson. He attended grade school in Malta Bend and graduated from Marshall High School in 1981. Brett was a Mechanic for Deems Farm Equipment in Marshall and had previously worked for Quinn Concrete and Fletcher Grain for a number of years. He was baptized in his youth at Union Baptist Church in rural Marshall. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed attending rodeos. His favorite past time was riding his beloved horses, Sweetie and Mimmie.
Brett is survived by his wife, Swana, of the home; one son, Brett Alan (L.B.) Wilson II and his fiancee, Rachel Landreth, of Marshall; his mother, Carol Grisolano and stepfather, Rick, of Carrollton; aunt and uncle, Caren and Steve Bittiker, of Carrollton; cousins, Steven Bittiker II of Carrollton, Carissa Hoover and her husband, Steven, of Liberty; stepbrother, Dustin Grisolano and his wife, Keri, of Carrollton; stepchildren, Kristina Jasper and her fiance, Rocky Marquess, of Marshall and Staci Bowlen of Columbia; and stepgrandchildren, Jairon Jasper, Zane Jasper, Brenden Marquess, Brody Marquess and Sydney Williams.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth; his brother, Jeffrey Lynn in infancy; his maternal grandparents, J.V. and Ann Wright; and paternal grandparents, Everett and Lorene Wilson.
