Mary E. Barron, 88, of Marshall, died Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Bethany. Memorials may be made to family choice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born July 28,1923, in Harrison County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence J. (Pete) Sutton and Ettie M. Thompson Sutton. On July 26,1942, in Harrisonville, she married William G. Barron who preceded her in death on March 15,1996. She had lived in Marshall since 1978 moving from Macks Creek. She was a homemaker except for several years she worked as a cashier and cafeteria worker for Parkhill School District and worked in a cedar novelty factory as well as Marshall Shoe Factory. She was a member South Platte Baptist Church in Parkville and attended Gill Memorial Baptist Church in Marshall.
Survivors include one son, Stephen E. Barron and his wife, Gail, of Livingston, Texas; four grandchildren, Jenny Hare, Tracey Roberts, Travis Breshears and Stephanie Johnson; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan B. Gibson; three sisters; and six brothers.
