Wilma I. Stafford, 69, of Lee's Summit, died March 16, 2012, at her home surrounded by her family.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2012, at Langsford Funeral Home in Lee's Summit. Burial was at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Riverview-Sweaney Cemetery in rural Dallas County. Visitation was held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2012, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to CaringBridge.org. Born Oct. 18, 1942, in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late Lewey Stafford and Mary Harrison Stafford, who survives of Marshall. She graduated from Buffalo High School in 1960. She worked at Western Electric, which later became AT&T, and retired in 1995. She was saved at age 16 at Benton Branch Church in Long Lane. She was baptized at Bible Baptist Church in Buffalo. She was a member of Graceway in Raytown.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by eight sisters, Wanda Stafford of Lee's Summit, Willa Boehmer of Overland Park, Kan., Wanita Aulgur and her husband, Ronald, of Burbank Ill., Judy Boehmer and her husband, Gary, of Jefferson City, Joyce Leimkuehler and her husband, Neil, of Kansas City, Jeanie Fann and her husband, Ronnie, of Marshall, Jane Stafford of Jefferson City and Jill Hobbs and her husband, Ronn, of Poplar Bluff; two brothers, Jeff Stafford and his wife, Becky, of Fulton and Craig Stafford of Marshall; special niece, Shelley Slavens and her husband, James, of Lee's Summit; her aunt, Vada Yates of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Mark Stafford; one brother-in-law, Doug Boehmer; and one nephew, Joel Robert Boehmer.
