Shirley E. Breshears, 73, of Marshall, died Sunday, March 11, 2012, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2012, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery north of Marshall. Born May 29, 1938, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late E. Marvin Breshears and Martha Marie Moore Breshears. She had lived in Marshall her entire life and retired from the Marshall Habilitation Center as a developmental assistant I.
Survivors include two daughters, Faith A. Brown and her husband, Bobby, of Houstonia and Kathy S. Johnson and her husband, Greg Sr., of Marshall; two sons, Mark Hemme and his wife, Sherry, of Sedalia and Gary Hemme and his wife, Melissa, of Sedalia; daughter-in-law, Robin Hemme of Sedalia; seven grandchildren, Jamie Cornine, Gregory Johnson Jr., Chris Johnson, Katy Johnson, Stephanie Hemme, Jennifer Hemme and Alexis Hemme; eight great-grandchildren, Mason and Regan Cornine, Nala Johnson, Audie Tolias, Riley Bahner and Hayden, Felicity and Ryder McCracken; four brothers, Charles Breshears of Slater, Russell Breshears of Nelson, Francis Breshears of Urbana and Kevin Breshears of Hughesville; four sisters, Marvina Green of Blackwater, Karen Darling of Marshall, Reta Allison of rural Marshall and Cheryl White of Hannibal; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons in infancy; one son, Steven Hemme; and three brothers, Ronnie, Terry and Keith Breshears.
