Clarence J. Lohman, 95, of Sweet Springs, died Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at The Lutheran Nursing Home in Concordia.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2012, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Emma, with Pastor Rick Swanson officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Born Feb. 12, 1917, in Concordia, he was the son of the late Henry Lohman and Ida Kirchhoff Lohman. On Feb. 24, 1946, he married Irene Marie Harms who preceded him in death on Feb.12, 2011. He had lived in the Sweet Springs area his entire life and was a retired farmer and carpenter. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church where he held various positions within the church.
Survivors include two daughters, Norma J. Boyer of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Janice Bybee of Sweet Springs; one son, Gerald H. Lohman of Sweet Springs; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Lohman of Emma; one sister, Virginia Oetting of Concordia; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter; and his stepmother, Gussie Lohman.
