Albert E. Durham, 70, of Belt, Mont., formerly of Slater, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls, Mont.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Slater with Rev. Bruce Hess officiating. Per his wishes, his ashes will be spread over the Little Bolt Mountains of Montana in July. Weiker Funeral Home of Slater is in charge of the arrangements.
Born June, 29, 1941, in Gilliam, he was the son of the late Albert L. and Alice Vernold Durham of McDowell. On Sept. 23, 1961, he married Lucille M. Morton. On Dec. 24, 1983, he married Mary K. Ray who survives of the home. He was a longtime resident of Missouri before moving to Montana in 1985 where he owned his own construction business. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by on son, Darrell Durham of Dixon; four daughters, Patty Dixon of Polo, Tina Boston of Billings, Denise Stoner of Dixon and Celeste Page of New Bloomfield; two step children, Robbie Ray of Belt, Mont., and Sheila Vaughn of Macon; 14 grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two step great-grandchildren; and one sister, Peggy Morton of Slater.
