Vera B. Miller, 93, of Concordia, died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Concordia with Rev. Patrick Niles officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Stained Glass Window Fund in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born Oct. 31, 1918, in the Flora community of Lafayette County, she was the daughter of the late Henry J. Miller and Elizabeth Henning Miller. She had lived in Concordia since 1945 moving from rural Mt. Leonard. She was a sales clerk at Dierker's Department Store in Concordia for 27 years and after retiring she worked at The Good Shepherd Home. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church where she had been in choir, active in the Quilting Guild and participated in the Ladies Bible Class.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Alfred, Henry, Ervin and Walter Miller; and four sisters, Hilda Kempf, Elizabeth Mueller, Viola Aversman and Bonnie Roehrs.
