Ruth A. Miller, 84, of Marshall, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to family choice. Born Nov. 5, 1927, in Napton, she was the daughter of the late Robin Price Wiley and Linnie Ray White Wiley. On Sept. 10, 1957, she married Col. Carl Dean Miller who was killed in action during the Vietnam War. She had lived in Saline County most of her life and was a member of First Baptist Church. She loved to quilt and read.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen Miller and his wife, Rhonda, of Marshall and Craig Miller and his wife, Connie, of Howard, S.D.; two granddaughters, Angela Nitzschke and her husband, Patrick and Allison Miller; three great-grandchildren, Andrew, Corbin and Kaleigh Nitzschke; two brothers, Jim Wiley of Marshall and Robert Wiley of Sweet Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Edward (Buck), John and Oscar Wiley and one in infancy; and three sisters, Iva Saylor, Betty Garrison and Catherine Lange.
