Jose Villatoro, 58, of Marshall, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012, at his home.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Iglesia de Dios Manantiales de vida Eterna with a funeral service beginning at 6 p.m. A visitation will also be held from noon until 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Catholic Church with a funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. at the church. Born Aug. 3, 1953, in El Salvador, he was the son of the late Marcos Villatoro and Maria Medrano. In 1985 he married Maria Parada who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall the last 30 years and was self employed. He owned and maintained many rental homes in the Marshall area for the last several years. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.
In addition to his wife, Maria, he is survived by three daughters, Stacey Paredes of Dallas, Texas, Mirna M. Villatoro and Estela R. Villatoro, both of Marshall; five grandchildren; eight siblings, Sergio Flores, Fausto Medrano, Juan Medrano, Eugenio Villatoro, Maria C. Guzman, Leonila Fuentes, Rufina Reyes and Elida Fuentes; along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Yesenia Noemi Villatoro.
