Una B. Harms, 79, of Marshall, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshall, with Pastor William Heine officiating. Friends may call Monday morning at the church. Burial will be in Waverly Cemetery in Waverly. Memorials may be made to the Saline Animal League in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Born July 8, 1932, in Saline County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Bradford Howery and Lalage Marie Akers Howery. On Jan. 22, 1955, she married Eugene R. Harms who preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 1987. She had lived in Saline County most of her life and was a certified nurses' aide for 30 years. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Survivors include four children, Sandra K. Wiseman and her husband, John, of Independence, Janet L. Samson and her husband, Mike, of Marshall, Robert E. Harms of Ranburne, Ala., and Angela D. Young and her husband, Dennis, of Wichita, Kan.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Jean Williamson of Carrollton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter in infancy, two brothers and three sisters.
