Mona G. Hinton, 79, of Marshall, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Born Oct. 5, 1932, in Saline County, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Bowers and Ethel Hinton Bowers Fogle. She was a 1950 graduate of Marshall High School and lived in Marshall most of her life. On June 10, 1950, she married Roy Hinton Jr. who survives of the home. She was a retired dental assistant and a member of the First Christian Church in Marshall.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Gary Hinton and his wife, Karen, of Chillicothe; one daughter, Cindy McKnelly and her husband, Mike, of Springfield; four grandchildren, Brandy McKnelly, Laura Keene, Drew Hinton and Kelsey Hinton; two great-grandchildren, Katherine Schoenberger and Kyleigh Keene; two brothers, Kenneth Bowers of Marshall and Harvey (Butch) Fogle of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews.
