Jonathan Lee DeHaven, 55, of Columbia, died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, in Columbia.

Funeral services will be private, but condolences and memorial contributions can be sent in care of Mary Stone, P.O. Box 494, Fulton, MO 65251.

Born Nov. 16, 1956, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Dr. Ronald L. and Patsy J. DeHaven. In 1988, in Columbia, he married Cindy Onderbeke, who survives of the home. He was a graduate of Marshall High School and worked as a chief animal technologist at the Univeristy of Missouri for 30 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two stepsons, Tim Onderbeke of Hallsville and Devin Scharnhorst of Columbia; four grandchildren; one niece; and one brother, Chris DeHaven of Columbia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ron and Greg DeHaven.
