Byron Dale Sandidge, 63, of Marshall, died Monday, Dec. 19, 2011, in Kansas.
Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to family choice. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born Dec. 3, 1948, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Charles Alexander Sandidge and Viola L. Kalthoff Sandidge. He was a 1966 graduate of Marshall High School and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. On Sept. 17, 2004, in Slater, he married Constance D. (Connie) Kick who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall his entire life and was a truck driver. He was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and Malta Bend American Legion Post 558.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Heather Staus and Marcy Sandidge, both of Sedalia and Amber Anderson of Nixa; two stepdaughters, Robin Roy of Nixa and Christine Gaddy of Springfield; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles W. (Sandy) Sandidge and Douglas W. Sandidge, both of Marshall; and one sister, Cheryl V. Sandidge of Phoenix, Ariz.
