The Missouri Department of Conservation invites you to a free Woodland/Savanna Management Workshop workshop on Sat. Jan. 31 from noon to 3 p.m. in Marshall.
The workshop will be held on the Missouri Valley College campus in the R. Wilson Brown Room at the Ferguson Center.
The workshop will cover topics such as: Understanding woodlands and savannas; managing woodlands for wildlife; evaluating woodlands and timber for restoration; timber stand improvement/harvest and cost-share opportunities on private lands.
The workshop will include classroom for about 1 1/2 hours and will be followed by a tour of the Woodland Restoration tract at the Marshall Junction Conservation Area.
