James M. (Jim) Nisely, 86, of Marshall, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2011, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Memorial graveside service with military rites will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, at Ridge Park Cemetery, with Rev. Jesse L. Spurgin officiating. Memorials may be made to Parkinson's Foundation. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born Sept. 22, 1925, in Monmouth, Ill., he was the son of the late Ralph C. Nisely and Cora Josephson Nisely. He had lived in Marshall most of his life and was a graduate of Missouri Valley College. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Malta Bend American Legion Post 558. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marshall.
Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Jean Arena of Cornwall, Pa.; two grandsons, A.J. Arena and Dominic Arena; one great-grandson, Alexander Arena; and two great-granddaughters, Genevieve Arena and Joscelyn Arena.
