Clarence Hawkins, 74, of Concordia, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011, at home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, at Concordia Baptist Church, with Rev. Derek Steinmuller officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Braymer. Memorials may be made to Concordia Baptist Church. Born Nov. 13, 1937, in Braymer, he was the son of the late Harry Wesley Hawkins and Mamie Irene Clevenger Hawkins. On May 29, 1960, he married Delila Faye McGuire who preceded him in death on Dec. 29, 2008. He had lived in Concordia since 1977, moving from Higginsville, and retired from Marshall Habilitation Center. He was a member of Concordia Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Sherrie Kamery of Concordia and Patricia Gammill of Brookfield; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Gene Hawkins of Urbana; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Voyles and Mable Sutton.
