December 2011 marks the first year for the Chamber of Commerce Community Christmas Tree lighting ceremony. Each year the tree will be dedicated to an individual in the community. This year the tree was lit in memory of Kitty Nelson, an avid area piano teacher and advocate for saving historic homes. (Sarah Reed/Democrat-News)
