Florence A. Lipskey, 98, formerly of Pensacola, Fla., passed away Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, at New Hope Baptist Church, with Rev. Duane Duchesne officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association. Condolences may be offered at www.heckartfuneralhome.com.
Born Jan. 15, 1913, in Galesburg, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Ottis and Alberta Humphrey. On April 17, 1934, in Galesburg, Ill., she married Clifford Lispkey, who preceded her in death in April of 1992. She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish in Galesburg, Ill. The most important thing to Florence was her family. She enjoyed reading, watching game shows, knitting and crocheting. She even taught many of her granddaughters how to crochet.
She is survived by one daughter, Veronica Morris and her husband, Donald, of Sedalia; 11 grandchildren, Candy Orwig and her husband, Raymond, of Canton, Paula Lapine of Canada, Lorri Turner of Canada, Donna M. Ellefson and her husband, Keith, of Marshall, Jerald L. Welch and his wife, Judy, of Rolla, Teresa Morrow and her husband, Mike, of Marshall, Lari A. Welch and her husband, Harold Newton Jr., of Marshall, Edward D. Welch and his wife, Nellie M., of Sedalia, John J. Welch of Marshall, Walter Cadwell and his wife, Velda, of Marshall and John R. Melton and his wife, Karla, of Marshall; 23 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two daughters, Donna Cadwell and Rhonda Lipskey; and one great-grandson, Keith "Bear" Ellefson.
