Frederick "Fred" Duane Bieberly, CPA, passed away Nov. 21, 2011, at the age of 72.
Fred was born May 2, 1939, in Russell, Kan., to Rudolph and Theresa Elizabeth Besser Bieberly. He was one of six sons. The Bieberly family moved to Slater in the 1940s. He graduated from Slater High School and then graduated from Central Missouri State University with honors, and a degree in Accounting. In 1971, he passed the Certified Public Accountant exam and began a successful accounting practice in Marshall.
Growing up and enjoying the outdoors, he became an avid outdoorsman. Fred's passion for the outdoors took him, his family and friends on many adventures to Africa, Alaska, Canada and many locations in the United States. He was an active member of many wildlife conservation programs.
Fred is survived by his brother, Darrell Bieberly of Kansas City; two sons, Chris and Matt Bieberly, both of Olathe, Kan.; and three grandchildren.
In addition to the passing of his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Jerome Bieberly of Marshall, Robert Bieberly of Oregon City, Ore., Charles Bieberly of Marshall and Victor Bieberly of Abilene, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at St. Peter Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Father Kevin Gormley will officiate the services. Burial will be in Slater City Cemetery. Friends may sign the online register at www.campbell-lewis.com.
