Hershel D. Fornshell, 48, of Windsor, died unexpectedly Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, in Columbia, as the result of a deer hunting accident.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011, at Windsor Assembly of God Church with Rev. Gene Ekstrand and Rev. Regina Hix officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at Hadley Funeral Home in Windsor. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery in Windsor. Born April 1, 1963, in Boonville, he was the son of Delbert Fornshell and Lula Mae "Punkie" (Campbell) Fornshell. On May 26, 1984, in Nelson, he married Tina Lynn Ekstrand who survives of the home.
He had worked at the International Shoe Factory in Marshall and Meyer Metal Craft in Windsor. He had also worked for the Gary Switzer Farm, Quality Carpet/Clinton Office Supply and was currently working for the Windsor Furniture Company. He loved to hunt and fish, and he made his own homemade deer jerky. He was a member of the Assembly of God of Windsor Church.
In addition to his wife, Tina, he is survived by two daughters, Feleina A. Edwards and Felicia M. Fornshell and her fiancÚ, T.J. Melton, all of Windsor; a brother, Steve Fornshell and his wife, April, of Marshall; a sister, Denise Crusha and her husband, Jim, of Windsor; an aunt, Carol Adams and her husband, Randy, of Marshall; an uncle, Tim Campbell and his wife, Brenda, of Boonville; six nephews; four nieces; and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
