Wesley L. Kleinschmidt, 86, of Marshall, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, at First Baptist Church in Marshall, with Rev. Wayne Doolin officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Born Jan. 17, 1925, in Victoria, he was the son of the late Lilburn Kleinschmidt and Mildred Meinhardt Kleinschmidt. On July 9, 1950, he married Maurine Vaught who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall since 1949, moving from DeSoto, and was a retired building contractor and farmer. He attended First Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Elaine Kay Schamens of Kearney; one son, Dale Louis Kleinschmidt and his wife, Nancy, of Marshall; four grandchildren, Stacey Ritchie and her husband, Gary, Julie Henning and her husband, Kyle, Aaron Kleinschmidt and Andrew Kleinschmidt; four great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and McKenna Ritchie, and Jaden and Skyla Henning; two sisters, Evelyn Lewis of DeSoto and Wilma Dautenhahn of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Steve Schamens, and a great-grandson, Justin Schamens-Ritchie.
