James Kent "Jim" Dille, 68, formerly of Slater, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hilcrest Road, in Liberty. Cremation to follow. Arrangements are under the care of Park Lawn Funeral Home, 816-523-1234.
Born Oct. 6, 1943, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Raymond Ellis and Charlotte Elaine (Shepard) Dille. He was married to Sharon Kay Dille for 11 years. He was raised in Slater and served four years in the U. S. Navy as an electronic technician and received the National Defense Service Medal. He moved to the Kansas City area in 1968. He was a CAD graphic designer for Black & Vetch, PSI in Memphis, Tenn., and PCI in Lenexa, Kan.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Stephen Ray Dille; two daughters, Diane Shoen and her husband, Ed, and Carlene Trezneck; one granddaughter, Savannah Nicole Dille; and one brother, Eldon Ray Dille.
