Receipts:  594    Week Ago:  549    Year Ago:  675

   Compared to last week, feeders mostly firm to 3.00 higher on an uneven
test.  With live and feeder futures near limit higher, demand was very
good.  Slaughter cows; however, traded mostly 3.00 to 4.00 lower on a
continuing lower cow market.  Cows and bulls were 26 percent of receipts.
In the feeder supply, steers and bulls were 67 percent of the run; heifers
33 percent.  Near 36 percent of feeders weighed over 600 lbs.  In two weeks
Sedalia will have a special consignment of bred cows, cow and calf pairs,
and breeding bulls.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and large 1  few 365 lbs 150.00-159.00; 400-
500 lbs 145.50-154.00; 500-600 lbs 140.00-153.25; 600-700 lbs 131.00-
140.00; 700-800 lbs 127.00-133.00; few 800-850 lbs 124.00-128.50.  Medium
and Large 1-2  400-500 lbs 142.00-156.00; 500-600 lbs 136.00-143.00; 600-
700 lbs 127.75-135.00.  Large 3 Holsteins  lot 503 lbs 95.00; lot 597 lbs
93.00; pkg 663 lbs 88.00; lot 802 lbs 89.00.

   Feeder Heifers:  Medium and Large 1  300-400 lbs 136.00-146.50; 400-
500 lbs 125.50-137.00; 500-600 lbs 123.00-126.50; 600-700 lbs 118.00-
124.00; pkg 710 lbs 120.00, fleshy 116.00.  Medium and Large 1-2  400-
500 lbs 125.00-139.00; 500-550 lbs 124.50-126.00; 600-660 lbs 120.00-
122.00; pkg 785 lbs 122.00.

   Feeder Bulls:  Medium and Large 1-2  300-400 lbs 140.00-156.00; 400-
500 lbs 131.00-146.50; 500-600 lbs 124.50-138.00; 600-700 lbs 116.00-
125.00.
