New regime crowned at Slater Fall Festival

The City of Slater crowned Remington Durhan and Tyler Fizer Little Miss and Mister Slater on Friday, Sept. 23, at the Slater Fall Festival. The crowd greeted the new regime with cheers, as the duo received crowns and flowers to honor the occasion.

The headline is a typo.....her name is Remington, nick name Remi.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with her name and perhaps you should find something else to occupy your time rather than commenting on what people choose to name their children.....not trying to be rude, but seriously, that comment was uncalled for.

The headline does not refer to her name. "Regime" means the group in power, a kind of government.

Seriously? Can we come up with something better than "regime". Let's elevate our naming standards.
