Andrew Todd O'Brien, 20, of Marshall, died Monday, Sept. 5, 2011, at University of Missouri Children's Hospital in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with Rev. Rick Aulgur officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery. Born May 23, 1991, in Marshall, he was the son of Dennis M. O'Brien and Katrina L. Riley Downs, both who survive of Marshall. He had lived in Marshall and Slater his entire life, attended private Christian schools for the majority of his education and then graduated from Marshall High School in 2009. While in school, he was active in track and also worked at McDonalds in Marshall.
He is survived by his father, Dennis O'Brien and his wife, Renee, of Marshall; his mother, Katrina L. Riley Downs and her husband, Josh, of Marshall; two sisters, Caitlin O'Brien and Chloe O'Brien, both of Marshall; paternal grandparents, Leonard M. O'Brien and his wife, Linda, of Preston, and Mildred Lucille O'Brien of Jonesboro, Ark.; maternal grandparents, Joe and Maggie Topel of Marshall and Gary and Gracie Riley of Slater; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
