Carl Burton Day, 66, of Iron Mountain Lake, died Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, in Farmington.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 29, 2011, at Bryson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Barton officiating. Interment was in Iron Mountain Cemetery.
Born Nov. 11, 1944, he was the son of the late Carl Nelson and Mary Wilhelmina (Brown) Day. On Aug. 4, 1992, he married Sharon Lee Thompson, who survives of the home. He served in the United States Army.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by seven children, Tonya Beard of Iron Mountain Lake, Carl Day Jr. of Marshall, Tracy Wilson of Dexter, Stephianie Campbell of Iron Mountain Lake, Jennifer Campbell of St. Louis and Allen Barker of Kansas; two brothers, Mickey Day of Sedalia and Tony Day of Marshall; two sisters, Mabel Bailey of Marshall and Ginger Newman of Kansas City; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by one son, Mark Campbell Jr.; three brothers, Butch, Danny and Donny Day; one sister, Dixie Day; and a grandson.
