Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at First Baptist Church in Marshall with Dr. Mike Parris and Rev. Wayne Doolin officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Born Dec. 16, 1953, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Martin August Peuster and Glenva Gash Peuster who survives of Marshall. She lived in Marshall most of her life, was a graduate of Marshall High School and attended Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar for two years. She worked as a direct care worker at Marshall Habilitation Center and Kansas City Regional Center for a total of 35 years, retiring in June of 2007. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Marshall where she played the piano and organ and she also played at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Kansas City. She enjoyed genealogy, crafts and embroidery, volunteered with Special Olympics, and helped in children's Sunday school classes.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by one sister, Janice Scott of Olathe, Kan.; a niece, Amber Gemmill of Independence; a nephew, Russ Gemmill of Kansas City; a great-nephew, James Ritchie; and an aunt and several cousins.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James M. (Jim) Peuster and Kris Eric Peuster.
