Lillian Beatrice Sullivan, 88, of Marshall, died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011, at Big Bend Retreat in Slater.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Pastor Randy Shannon officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to Marshall Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Born July 7, 1923, in Slater, she was the daughter of the late Andrew A. Hunsaker and Vera Bishop Hunsaker. On May 23, 1942, she married John W. Sullivan who survives of the home and was thankful for the blessing of 69 years of marriage. She was a member of Marshall Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday school for many years, was church treasurer for 10 years and served as president and treasurer for her Ladies Circle. She worked as a bookkeeper for Shryack-Wright Wholesale Grocers for 35 years and was co-owner of Sullivan Brothers Service Station for 40 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Steven Sullivan and his wife, Rhonda, of Marshall; two grandsons, Pastor Joshua Sullivan and his wife, Erin, of Kerrville, Texas, and Matthew Sullivan and his wife, Sarah, of Marshall; two great-grandchildren, Amos Wells Sullivan and Myka Kate Sullivan; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Everett, Herbert and Bill Hunsaker; and two sisters, Helen Moore and Marjorie Wooten.
