John Alfred Logan, 59, of Marshall, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Pastor Charles Stephenson Jr. officiating. Memorials may be made to Powerhouse Ministries or family choice. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born June 14, 1952, in Columbia, he was the son of the late Jesse Logan Sr. and Lucille Bly Logan Williams. He attended Hickman High School in Columbia and joined the military briefly. He had lived in Oklahoma City, Okla., for a number of years and worked for Allied Van Lines before moving to Marshall. He worked for Marshall Habilitation Center for a number of years, retiring because of illness.
Survivors include two daughters, Tosha Logan of Oklahoma City and Crystal Stevens of Columbia; five sons, Brian Williams of St. Louis, John Logan Jr. of Columbia, Terrance Logan of Oklahoma City, Marcus Logan and Shane Logan, both of the state of Alabama; several grandchildren; two sisters, Vallory Combs and her husband, Keith, of Marshall and Clara Railback and her husband, Terri, of Marshall; longtime companion, Marie Taylor of the home; two aunts; one uncle; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jesse Logan Jr.; and one sister, Linda Ross.
