Fern Eva Tieman, 84, of Blackburn, died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011, at Tipton Manor in Tipton.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, at Zion Lutheran Church in Blackburn, with Rev. Timothy Miille officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Blackburn. Born Oct. 17, 1926, in Blackburn, she was the daughter of the late Hugo W. Tieman and Clara M. Wilshuen Tieman. On July 10, 1949, she married Wilfred A. Tieman who preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 2000. She lived in Blackburn most of her life and graduated from Blackburn High School. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Zion Guild, holding past various officer positions, LWML State Fair Committee and a past member of Tieman-Blackburn American Legion Post 478 Auxiliary.
Survivors include two children, Ronald Tieman of Blackburn and Susan Reith Sedalia; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby M. Foley.
