George F. (Bo) Watts, 62, of Pleasant Hill, formerly of Slater, died Friday, July 29, 2011.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lee's Summit. Burial will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Slater City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, August 1. 2011, at the church. Memorials are suggested to Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Born in Slater, he was the son of the late Harvey M. and Mary Jane Schaefer Watts. In 1975, he married Gerri Morrow who survives of the home. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He was a member of Cass County Civil War Round Table. He had a professional sales career in agriculture and insurance. He was a graduate of Slater High School and earned a BS Degree in economics from Missouri Valley College in Marshall.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Gregory M. Watts; a brother, Charles Watts of Grain Valley; three sisters, Mary Beth Elder of Glenwood, Iowa, Martha Shepard of Blue Springs and Margaret Stallman of Glasgow.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Watts.
