Judith A. Stubbs, 65, of Independence, formerly of Marshall, died Sunday, July 24, 2011, near Holden.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2011, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born June 10, 1946, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Emmet (Bub) Gilliam and Anna Wade Chaney. She attended Marshall High School. She married Oxford Lee Griffitts and they divorced. She later married David Stubbs who preceded her in death in 1989. She reunited with Oxford Lee Griffitts who survives. She had lived in Independence since 1995.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Debra A. Griffitts Moore and her husband, Paul Jayson Moore, of Independence; three grandchildren, Cyrus David Moore, La'Chelle Ann Moore and Jacob Austin Moore; one great-grandson, Anthony David Manley; three brothers, Tom Gilliam and his wife, Mary, of Marshall, Jerry Gilliam of Branson, and Patrick Gilliam and his wife, Maria, of Denver, Colo.; stepmother, Mildred Gilliam of Marshall; two stepsisters, Tony Chapin of Slater and Glenda Evans of Stafford, Va.; and longtime friend, Judy Breshears of Marshall.
