Slater FFA officer team sets goals at annual retreat
The Slater FFA officer retreat was on July 5-6.
Eight of our nine officers along with advisor Zach Crews left early on the July 5th to travel to Columbia to take part in team building and chapter event planning for the 2011-12 school year.
Once we got to Columbia we went to Venture Out, which is a team building program at the University of Missouri.
As an officer team we each climbed the Alpine Tower, which is a 50 foot tall tower that presents individuals with varies challenges to get to the top. We each encouraged each other to push ourselves to our personal limits and accomplish the personal goals we had set for ourselves.
Then we went and ate lunch at Jimmy's, a Slater FFA Chapter favorite, and then went and checked into our hotel.
After enjoying some time in the pool and just relaxing we enjoyed supper, provided by the FFA Alumni, at D' Rowe's. We spent the rest of the evening as an office team with Mr. Crews to plan our goals for this upcoming year.
After that some people went to bed and others stayed up for a while. Then we got up the next morning to go home.
