Woman found lying in street, Marshall police investigate (Update July 18)

Marshall police said Monday the injured woman was taken to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment. The investigation into the incident continues. No further information is yet available.

E911 received a report at 11;30 p.m. Friday, July 15, that a woman was seen lying in the intersection of English Avenue and Slater Street

Marshall Police and Saline County Ambulance were dispatched to this location, according to a news release from MPD.

A 41-year-old Marshall resident was transported by ambulance to Fitzgibbon Hospital for treatment, police said.

The investigation continues.
