Randall L. Jones, 69, of Brookfield, formerly of Marshall, died Thursday, July 7, 2011, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2011, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to your local food pantry. Born July 29, 1941, in Pure Air, he was the son of the late Nile Jones and Gladys Schillie Jones. He was a 1959 graduate of Novinger High School. On March 24, 1973, he married Sandra Kay Shipp who survives of the home. He had lived in Brookfield the last 14 years previously living in Marshall for many years. He had worked for Wonder Bread as depot manager in Marshall and Chillicothe and was produce manager at Butch's and Jim's IGA. Then he and Sandy opened and operated Porky's Restaurant in Marshall and afterwards opened R&S Steakhouse in Brookfield prior to retiring in 2000. He was a member of Elk's Lodge in Brookfield.
In addition to his wife , he is survived by four children, Tony Gossett of Marshall, Deborah Untiedt and her husband, Sam, of Marshall, Darin Jones and his wife, Christi, of Little Rock, Ark., and Juston Jones of Brooklyn, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Dennis Jones and his wife, Janice, of Novinger; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Duane Jones.
