Martha Sue Jackson, 77, of Independence, formerly of Malta Bend, died Thursday, July 7, 2011, in Independence.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, July 11, 2011, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m., Monday at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in New Franklin. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday evening at the chapel. Born Dec. 7, 1933, in Malta Bend, she was the daughter of the late Walter M. and Bertha Fowler Williams. She was a graduate of Malta Bend High School. On Feb. 28, 1959, she married Sep L. Jackson of Franklin, who preceded her in death. She retired from Bearings Distributors in March 1997. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Kansas City, Kan. She is survived by four nieces, Patricia Bosch of Blue Springs, Pamela Drake of Marshall, Janice Wyman and her husband, Roy, of Lone Jack, and Robin Jackson of Kansas City; one nephew, John Jackson and his wife, Terry, of Kansas Cit; three great-nieces, Stacy Garrett and her husband, Jason, Jennifer Nicholls and her husband, Jared, and Shauna Frerking and her husband, Preston; three great nephews, John Wyman and his wife, Angie, Glenn Wyman and Bradley Wyman of Lone Jack; one great-great niece, Chloe Garrett; along with several cousin's and many wonderful friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and William (Billy) Williams.
