Leonard Bushmann, 85, of Alma, died Saturday, July 2, 2011, at The Lutheran Nursing Home in Concordia.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2011, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alma, with Pastor Fred Hertwig officiating.
Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia. Burial with military rites will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made Trinity Lutheran Church. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born Feb. 27, 1926, in Alma, he was the son of the late Ernest Bushmann and Anna Nienheuser Bushmann. He had lived in Alma his entire life and was a farmer. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Missouri Cattleman's Association, Lafayette County Cattleman's Association, Missouri Pork Producers, Missouri Farm Bureau and MFA. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include one sister, Roberta Fischer of Marshall; two nephews; and seven nieces.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Ernest Bushmann; and four sisters, Laura Bushmann, Martha Bushmann, Louise Bushmann and Hilda Haesemeier.
