Rowdie W. Bigby, 49, of Marshall, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at his home.
A cremation memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Bittiker Funeral Home in Carrollton with Reverend Charles Stephenson Jr. officiating. The family suggests contributions be made to American Diabetes Association or American Glaucoma Association in his memory. They may be left at or mailed to Bittiker Funeral Home, 1201 N. 65 Hwy., Carrollton, MO 64633.
Born Dec. 21, 1961, he was the son of the late Russell Martin and Anna Belle Lyles. On May 25, 2002, he married Tressa Glascock, who survives of the home. He graduated from Carrollton High School and worked at Tyson's Deli, Orbeseal and Banquet Foods. He was a member of Wayland's Temple in Marshall.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Consuella Bigby and Brandy Bigby of Austin, Texas, and Paris Bigby of the home; four sons, Anthony Bigby of Rolla, Craig Bigby and Chris Bigby of Carrollton, and Kevin Powell of Marshall; three brothers, Donald Bigby of Chillicothe, Randy Bigby of Destin, Fla., and Marlin Martin of Jacksonville, Fla.; four sisters, Isabelle Arrington, Rhonda Martin and Roslyn Martin, of Kansas City, and Marjorie Bigby of Carrollton; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Lester Bigby and Roy Bigby, and three sisters, Thelma Wayland, Betty Bigby and Dorothy Bigby.
