Clara Belle Spotts, 91, of Spirit Lake, Idaho, formerly of Waverly, died Friday, May 27, 2011, at home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2011, at Waverly Christian Church, with Pastor Bill Koch officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Grand Pass Community Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Born July 24, 1919, in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late William Neal and Zella Latham Neal. She was a graduate of Grand Pass High School. On July 12, 1940, she married Herbert J. Spotts who preceded her in death on Dec. 10, 1976. She was a timekeeper at Lake City Arsenal for 27 years. She was a member of Waverly Christian Church and Waverly American Legion Auxiliary. She had lived in Spirit Lake the past year, moving from Waverly, previously living in Springfield.
Survivors include three daughters, Martha E. Dooley of Omaha, Ark., Carol Jenks of Spirit Lake, Idaho, and Jan Whitney of Columbia; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson and one sister, Roberta Weaver.
