Helen Nora Clayton, 85, of Marshall, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at The Living Center in Marshall.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshall, with Rev. Douglas A. Dubisar officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Concordia. Memorials may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church or Fitzgibbon-Mary Montgomery Hospice. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born Feb. 21, 1926, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Walter Bodenstab and Nora Hemme Bodenstab. On July 20, 1945, she married Ernest Clayton Jr. who preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 2000. She returned to Marshall in 1987, moving from Concordia, and was a homemaker and retired secretary. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Beverly Parr of Nocona, Texas, Bonnie Lovercamp and her husband, Omar J., of Corder and Sharon Weathers and her husband, Terry, of Sedalia; five grandchildren, Steve Heyer, Omar Lovercamp Jr. and his fiancée, Jennifer Johnson, Terry Weathers Jr. and his fiancée, Ashley Womack, Billy Heyer and his companion, Tracy Disney, and Jessica Weathers and her companion, Matt Davis; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Frances Leimkuehler of rural Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Jeff Heyer, and two sons-in-law, Ray Heyer and B.T. Parr.
