Nancy J. Marshall, 92, of Slater, died Sunday, May 21, 2011, at Big Bend Retreat Nursing Home in Slater.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater, with Rev. David L. Duncan officiating. Bethany Weiker, organist, will play "In the Garden" and "Beyond the Sunset." Burial will be in Slater City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Buddy Hannaford, Mike Hannaford, Jack Myers, Christopher Morales, Corey Dexter and Tom Marshall. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Big Bend Retreat or Slater Christian Church C.F.W. (Christian Women's Fellowship).
Born Nov. 23, 1918, in Roadhouse, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Blanche Rudd Hannaford. On Aug. 3, 1962, in Miami, Okla., she married Claude I. Marshall, who preceded her in death on May 9, 1994. She was a member of Slater Christian Church. She had worked in the accounting department at Marshall Habilitation Center for 17 years until her retirement in 1975.
She is survived by two brothers, Charles (Chuck) Hannaford of Slater and Lou Hannaford of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Natalie Owen of Slater; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Otto Hannaford and Jim Hannaford; and one sister, Evelyn Duncan.
