Joseph E. Jordan, 44, of Camden, died on Monday, May 16, 2011, at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Inurnment will be at a later date by the family. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
Born March 6, 1967, in Marshall, he was the son of Gladys Reynolds Jordan and the late Harold O. Jordan Sr. On June 28, 1986, he married Victoria C. Lane of Orrick, who survives of the home. He was an assembler for Ford Motor Company for the last four years. Prior to that, he was in the box business for 15 years. He was a member of the U.A.W. union local #249. He was of the Christian faith and had lived in the Camden area most of his life.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by one son, Austin Lee Jordan of the home; two daughters, Katrina Colleen Jordan and Victoria Lane Jordan also of the home; two brothers Harold O. Jordan Jr. of Kansas City, and Terry Jordan of Slater; three sisters, Carol Crank of Clinton, Penny Wolfe of Slater and Brenda Monroe of Kansas City.
