Marjorie Dee Vogelsmeier, 84, of Sweet Springs, died Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sweet Springs with Rev. Dan Wing officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Born Aug. 26, 1926, in Elmwood, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Lewis Armentrout and Hazel Dickerson Armentrout. She had lived in the Sweet Springs area her entire life where she was a 1945 graduate of Sweet Springs High School and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. On Dec. 1, 1945, in Emma, she married J.C. Vogelsmeier who survives of the home. Her life was dedicated to being a homemaker.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Jim Vogelsmeier and Mary Yokley of Sweet Springs and Connie Maggert of Concordia; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Armentrout and one sister, Dorothy Armentrout.
